Prime Minister Support: Stephen J. Harper

With Election 2008 slated for 2008-10-14, The Canadian-American is thrilled to support the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Stephen J. Harper (C-CAN/AB) for re-election as Canada's prime minister. This, of course, implies the support of Conservative MPs in ridings throughout the country. Prime Minister Harper has demonstrated and offers Canadians strong leadership on the important issues of the day. Prime Minister Harper is a member of a new generation of leaders and will work well with President Barack H. Obama on issues of critical importance to North America, including ensuring the quality of our environment, strengthening North America's economy and restoring North America's place in the world. Check back periodically for more updates as Election 2008 continues, on both sides of the border.

As yet another Canadian living in the States (TN in my case) I wish I could vote for Rt. Hon. PM Harper.

However, Elections Canada rules require you to:

Have lived in Canada within the last 5 years (check)
intend to return to Canada (nope)

HM Pm Harper would also work very well with President McCain.

PM Harper can, and will, work well with anyone with the best interests of Canada and its people. Of that I have no doubt.

Excellent point, Roy...

At least living in Arizona, President McCain will have interacted with Canadians for some time (snowbirds). In addition, VP Palin is a hockey fan, so that's a bonus right there!
